Let's take a look at the top 30 trending items on the Roblox UGC marketplace and examine how player self-expression continues to evolve on the platform. Along the way, we'll see that that emotes, animation packs, and stylized avatars are defining Roblox culture right now.
1. Emotes Are Dominating the Roblox UGC Marketplace
Previously, Roblox was the only one who could make emotes on the platform. But earlier this year, Roblox opened emote creation to all UGC designers, and that has completely changed the economy. Now that any approved designer can submit emotes, creators have run with it, and 10 of the top 30 items (33%) are emotes.
Popular emotes range from trendy dances to hyperactive movements like “Crazy Jumping Spider.” What used to be an accessory-dominated UGC market is now about motion, attitude, and performance. Players don’t just look different, they move differently.
2. Animation Packs Are Still Heavy Hitters
Animation packs (Robot, Stylish, and Oldschool) remain top sellers. Six out of the top 30 (20%) top-selling UGC items are animation packs, and right now these can only be made by Roblox themselves or official brand partners.
Brands are stepping into this space and finding success:
Animation packs are becoming status symbols. You’re not just buying a collection of moves, you’re buying identity.

3. Half Heads, Body Morphs, and Avatar Identity
Some UGC trends refuse to die, and "half heads" are one of them. These items let players look “headless,” a long-running aesthetic that still commands attention.
What’s newer, though, is the resurgence of full avatar transformations:
Super Thin Tall avatars
Mini Plushie (I tried it on once and came back to buy it just because it was so ridiculously adorable)
I showed my Mini Plushie avatar to my 9-year-old son. His reaction: “What the heck?”
Did I flex my Roblox outfit to my kid? Yes. Yes, I did.
And then later I showed it off to my 15-year-old-daughter. My avatar is so damn cute.
4. Hair Trends: Black and Messy
3 of the top 30 items right now are nearly identical: black, messy hairstyles. No bright colors. No fantasy elements. Just slightly chaotic black anime-adjacent hair. It’s the unofficial uniform of Roblox cool right now.

5. Brainrot Lives On (of course it does)
The 67 Brainrot item in the top charts proves the meme isn’t going anywhere. It’s still alive in my house (my three kids can confirm) and even shows up in adult work meetings, according to my wife. Naturally, it’s thriving on Roblox.
6. Are Body Suits Dead? Sort of.
Animal body suits, like the Monkey Suit in the top 30, used to dominate UGC trends over a year ago. Now? They’re more of a nostalgic holdover. Today’s players would rather emote than dress like an animal.
Final Takeaway
Roblox UGC has shifted from what you wear to how you express yourself.
Emotes = the new accessories
Animation packs = identity and status
Avatar morphs = playful self-expression
Half heads and brainrot = meme culture lives on
Roblox isn’t just about character customization anymore. It’s a living social language, and it’s evolving in real time.
