Roblox Keeps Hitting All-Time Highs
In case you missed it, Roblox has been having the best summer ever. Over this past weekend on Saturday, July 19, Roblox hit a record-breaking 32.7 million concurrent users—the highest peak CCU in platform history.

At the same time, the Roblox stock price surged 91% in just 6 months, pushing it above $126 per share.

One game in particular has helped fuel this explosion.
Grow a Garden: The Game That’s Rewriting the Rules
Grow a Garden is a cozy farming game built by a single teenager and then acquired a small but mighty Roblox studio, Splitting Point Studios.
Over the past two months, it’s shattered every expectation:
May 17: Peak CCU of 4.2M
June 14: Peak CCU of 16.4M, beating Fortnite's previous CCU record of 14.3M
June 21: Peak CCU jumps to 21.3M
July 19: Hits 21.9M CCU, helping Roblox set its platform-wide record of 32.7M CCU (accounting for 67% of those players)
Week after week, this game has consistently driven massive weekend spikes in engagement.
It’s not just a flash in the pan—it’s a masterclass in how to design for retention, virality, and platform-algorithmic growth.
Why This Matters
This isn’t just a feel-good story about one game doing well. It’s a wake-up call for anyone trying to win on Roblox:
Small teams can drive platform-level impact
Smart design beats big budgets
The Roblox algorithm still massively rewards games that players love coming back to
Grow a Garden proves that breakout success on Roblox is still possible—even in 2025.
What’s Coming Next
In a few days, I’ll be sharing how this game is actually pulling this off—with analysis on its:
Gameplay loops
Viral design systems
Marketing strategy
It’s part of an upcoming breakdown for developers, brands, and strategists who want to understand what’s really working on Roblox right now.
